The First Day of My Life
Featuring an all-star cast, The First Day of My Life is an absorbing film about love and the meaning of life from the director of 2016 smash hit Perfect Strangers, Paolo Genovese and adapted from his 2018 novel of the same name.
Four people (played by Margherita Buy, Valerio Mastandrea, Sara Serraiocco and Gabriele Cristini) from different walks of life are united by one thing – they have lost hope of being happy.
In the exact moment they are hitting rock bottom, these four people meet a mysterious man (Toni Servillo) who offers them a deal: a gift of one week of time to discover how the world would be without them and to give themselves a second chance.
Across nocturnal Rome, each of them will go on an intimate journey through their lives. When everything around them seems to be collapsing, will they find the strength to start over, find new meaning in their lives and fall in love with life again?
